
MG BOARD™
NICHIAS offers third types of MG BOARD: a JIS1 product to JIS3 product, which are made by adding a thermosetting resin to rock wool as a binder and molding it into a board. For the surface materials of MG BOARD 080, Nichias offers adhesive aluminum glass cloth (ALGC) and glass cloth (GC) that is affixed flat on top and around the edges.

MG BELT™
MG BELT is made by cutting MG BOARD into strips and reinforcing it with cheesecloth.
The fibers stand upright in the thickness direction, and so it has excellent flexibility and is easy to wrap around pipes and circular ducts. Nichias’ product lineup also includes a cheesecloth-affixed product and an ALGC-decorated product.

MG MIGHTY ROLL™
MG MIGHTY ROLL is a product in which minute amounts of resin are added to rock wool as a binder before molding it into a felt. ALK (aluminum craft foil) or ALGC (aluminum glass cloth) is then affixed to one side before rolling the product up into a roll.
The adhesive ALGC products comply with the Japanese Architectural Standard Specifications (Mechanical Equipment Construction Work Edition).

MG WIRED BLANKET™
MG WIRED BLANKET is a product that is made by fixing hexagonal wire mesh to one side of an MG BOARD with iron wire and rolling it up into a roll.
It has excellent workability and can be installed easily onto complex parts and curved surfaces. It is also useful as an additional heat insulation material for added thickness.

MG MIGHTY COVER™
MG MIGHTY COVER is a roll of lightweight heat insulation material that is not susceptible to bending and has excellent thermal insulation, heat resistance, and non-flammable properties.
It has low levels of halogen and so it is excellent at preventing stress and corrosion cracks in stainless steel.

ROSLIM BOARD H and GH are high performance heat-insulation materials that have better thermal insulation than still air and top-class workability and handling.

Pyrogel™ XTE
Pyrogel XTE is a heat insulation Aerogel blanket that is made by impregnating silica Aerogel into glass fiber cloth.
Silica Aerogel is known as a material with the lowest thermal conductivity of any solid. It has features such as excellent thermal insulation properties, water repellency, flexibility, environmental safety, and ease of handling, and can achieve excellent heat insulation performance. Pyrogel XTE is an ideal heat insulation material for retaining heat in high-temperature pipes, equipment, and tanks, and is essential for pursuing the best possible thermal efficiency.

FOAMNERT™ BOARD
FOAMNERT TN is a rigid urethane foam thermal insulation material made of closed-cell foam. It is a carbon dioxide foam-based cryogenic insulation material that does not contain any chlorofluorocarbon foaming agents such as HCFCs and HFCs.
Molded products include covers and boards. Nichias’ covers are JIS-certified products (certification number GB0309002).
It can be used within the temperature range of -196°C to +100°C. It can be widely used as a thermal insulation material for LNG and LPG bases, ships, petrochemical plants, and district heating and cooling.
Note: +40°C or less is recommended for the internal temperature when using continuously.

Energy saving diagnosis makes heat energy visible and proposes energy saving measures. From thermography visuals, Nichias calculates wasted energy and suggests the best possible energy-saving measures.

Cold insulation work for LNG carriers
LNG (liquefied natural gas) vessels, which are used to transport LNG to consumer destinations, require advanced heat-protection performance and strength.
Nichias supplies its customers by acquiring certification from a ship classification society for its various thermal insulating materials for LNG carriers, which include its environment-friendly, CFC-free glass fiber reinforced urethane foam that satisfies these performance requirements. Nichias also carries out the installation work of these materials to guarantee installation is done correctly.

FOAMNERT™ SUPPORT
TOMBO No.5010 FOAMNERT SUPPORT is a low-temperature pipe support with excellent thermal insulation and mechanical strength developed from Nichias’ testing of urethane foam technologies and cryogenic installation technologies as a manufacturer of thermal and cryogenic insulation materials.
FOAMNERT SUPPORT has a base of high-density urethane foam, and so in addition to its strength as a structural material, it has outstanding thermal insulation and weather resistance.

Cryogenic insulation material (urethane-based)
In terms of clean energy, Nichias is engaged in a large amount of cold insulation work from liquefaction facilities to transportation, receiving, and storage facilities as a cold insulation work pioneer in the fields of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that are growing in demand. FOAMNERT TN is a pioneering cryogenic insulation material made of rigid carbonated urethane foam that uses no Freon blowing agents. As a cryogenic insulation material with little burden on the environment and maintains the thermal insulation performance of products to date, it continues to win the hearts of more and more customers.
Nichias strives to extend the lifespan of facilities with its efforts to diagnose the thermal insulation performance of cryogenic insulation materials and renovation efforts for cryogenic insulation materials to recover the thermal insulation performance without shutting down the facility.
